Six pedestrians who never made it home.

LABBRA is named for them, one letter for each. Their names stay private, out of respect for their families.

How it started

From detecting crashes to forecasting them.

LABBRA Systems grew out of a university capstone project on detecting crashes in real time. The company was founded to go a step earlier: finding where crashes are likely, so they can be prevented.

  1. Aug 2025UCF senior design: the LABBRA Intersection, a hardware and software system for crash detection and response.
  2. Mar 2026Designed and deployed custom hardware and AI for real-time crash detection.
  3. Apr 2026Best Senior Design award. LABBRA Systems Inc. founded.
  4. Oct 2026Gradient: crash-risk forecasting for Florida.
